Occupational exposure limits, hazardous substances, classification and labelling
The assessment of hazardous substances at the workplace has been the focus of our work for many years.
Our services include substance- and product-specific assessments as well as an evaluation of specific situations.
- Preparation of draft scientific summaries for the EU Scientific Committee for Occupational Exposure Levels (SCOEL)
- Classification and labelling of substances
- Preparation of safety data sheets
- Hazard assessment according to the German Hazardous Substances Ordinance
- Derivation of occupational exposure limits following the methodology described in the German TRGS 901
- Assessment of specific product groups such as metal-working fluids and epoxy resins
We are also engaged in several methodological projects in this field, e.g.:
- Identify substitutes for hazardous substances (German TRGS 440)
- Assessment of dermal exposure and rate of dermal absorption (EU project "RiskOfDerm")
- Occupational exposure limits for carcinogens (“traffic light” model)
